Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball (Easy)

All I can say is this is delicious! Serve it with chocolate graham crackers, a must, accept no substitutes, like plain graham crackers, tried it, doesn't taste as yummy or should I say doesn't compliment it as well. One day I wanted to whip one up for a friend and I did  not have mini chocolate chips in the house but I had the regular sized chips and those would have been way too large for this cheese ball. I decided to throw them in the food processor and pulverize them, I actually like making this dessert that way now because you get a finer chocolate chip and you get all those shavings as well and when you add it to the cream cheese mixture it blends in throughout quite nicely. I am not saying you can't use mini chocolate chips but if you don't have any mini's in the house and only the regular sized kind and have a food processor on hand then pulverize the full sized ones.

Ingredients

  • 1 package (8 ounces) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese (softened or cubed), softened
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cup finely chopped pecans
  • Graham crackers

Directions

  • In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese, butter and vanilla until fluffy. Gradually add sugars; beat just until combined. Stir in chocolate chips. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.
  • Place cream cheese mixture on a large piece of plastic wrap; shape into a ball. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  • Just before serving, roll cheese ball in pecans. Serve with graham crackers. Yield: 1 cheese ball (about 2 cups).
I placed my cheese ball mixture on a piece of plastic wrap and made it into a ball.
I then laid it in a bowl and stuck it the freezer for 20 minutes to harden.
I then took my finely chopped pecans and laid them on a plate and rolled my cheese ball in it.
Ready to eat!
Chocolate graham crackers are a must with this cheese ball!
